Optional Accessories

Single drive and double drive spinning-wheels are different (see the pictures).

Double drive system makes possible spinning by the all three ways - Scotch tension, Irish tension (bobbin lead) and double drive.

Basic Jumbo Flyer Unit [BJFU]

is intended for spinning thick chunky yarns. There is only need to change the front maid and to put in this flyer with the Jumbo bobbin. Ratios 4.5:1 and 9:1.

Sliding Hook Flyer Jumbo [SHFJ]

Sliding Hook Flyer Jumbo Single Drive [SHFJ]

Fibreglass arms make this flyer light and strong. Orifice 15mm. The flyer is available natural or lacquer and includes one bobbin. Update your single drive Traditional amd Traveller spinning wheels. Kit also includes reducer bush so you can use your standard flyer without changing bearings.

High speed double drive whorl [HSDDW]

To spin very thin yarns, you need to get a lot of twist into the yarn. And so that it doesn't take forever, it's a good idea to choose the highest possible spindle speed, hence the highest possible gear ratio. So if you find out over time that not even your smallest pulley is not small enough for you, this high-speed pulley is the ideal solution for you. At the same time, you can see why it is good to have a spinner with a double drive (it is not possible with a single drive simply replace the pulley itself) and with the largest possible drive wheel. Gear ratios in the following table shows how many spindle revolutions you make with one step on the treadle.
