Spinning competition
On Sunday 28th March 2004, the Spinning Competition Prastky 2004 was running in Brno Exhibition Ground, for the first time in Czech republic, on the exhibition TECHAGRO. This competition was arranged by Sheep and Goats Breeder's Association in Czech Republic. Nine women showed their skill and many visitors admired the remarkable row of spinning-wheels here.
Except Mrs.Dipl.Ing.Hanusova, Mrs.Tumova and Mrs.Malikovicova (who showed her skill with the spindle), all the participants were the graduates of our spinning courses. I would like to thank to all competition participants very much and also to Mr.prof.Horak and Mrs.Dipl.Ing.Maresova from Sheep and Goats Breeder's Association.
In the first competition, only the lenght of yarn was judged, the thickness and kind wasn't evaluated.
In the second competition, it was important to spin the highest quality, because limited amount of wool was available and the yarn lenght was appreciated, too.
